Definition: GMT

Galvano-Magnetic 24 Hour Clock, Royal Observatory, Greenwich - geograph.org.uk - 663062 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is the time zone of international reference, calibrated to local noon at the Royal Observatory in that city. In global matters, local time zones are usually reported as "GMT + 9", "GMT - 3", and the like.

To calculate your own time zone in GMT, check the widget in the upper lefthand corner of this blog. Then figure the difference in hours (and minutes, if applicable) between that time and yours.
